Micosoft Seadragon und Photosynth

Gestern bin ich durch einen Artikel des Weblogs Basic Thinking auf Microsofts Photosynth gestoßen. Photosynth? Hab ich vorher nie gehört, aber diese kurze Einführung erklärt alles.

Using photos of oft-snapped subjects (like Notre Dame) scraped from around the Web, Photosynth creates breathtaking multidimensional spaces with zoom and navigation features that outstrip all expectation.

Ich habe mir das ActiveX der Tech Preview installiert (laut System Requirements benötigt man Windows XP SP2 oder Windows Vista, aber die Installationsroutine des FF-Plugins, meldet mir, dass ich kein Windows Vista habe – ist auch noch besser so). Ich weiß gar nicht was ich dazu sagen soll; Wahnsinn wäre wohl noch untertrieben. Schaut euch entweder dieses Video an (in dem Video wird zuerst auch noch kurz Seadragon vorgestellt), oder installiert euch die Tech Preview selbst.

Also ich muss wohl öfters mal einen Blick auf die Microsoft Live Labs Seiten werfen.
